New Idea.

So I have decided, that as of this coming Saturday, this blog will become strictly for my book reviews only. (Not that I have been doing those a lot lately, but I'll work on it!)

BUT... I have started a new blog called Confessions Of A College Freshman.
Starting this Saturday, that will be my main blog for the school year.
I am going to write an entry for everyday that I am in college, and talk about being a freshman, homework, activities, working, the stress, my relationships, and my daily schedule basically, all depending on what happens each day.

I hope that the few followers I have will continue to follow on my new blog, and maybe even gain a few new followers since now I have a blog with an actual theme.

The first official blog entry for my new blog will be posted this Saturday, and will be titled "Move-In Day".

Thanks!

Growing up/Moving out

So Summer is almost over.
I've quit my summer job and The weather is starting to get colder ( Not that it got all that hot to begin with).
And It's been a busy couple of weeks.
This Saturday, I am moving out of my parents house, and next week, on the 8th, I start college, and my new job.
I'm almost all packed up, and this whole thing is a scary thought to me, and it makes me a little sad actually.
I'm sad that I'm not a kid anymore, I can no longer be irresponsible and lazy and get away with it.
I Now have to take care of myself, and I thought I would be more excited, and yes, in some ways, I am, but I don't want to take care of myself, and be responsible, and work a full-time job.

It's crazy how much things are different now that I'm out of highschool already, and it's only been the summer, but I already don't speak to ANY of the people that I was close with at all anymore, everyone else is getting jobs and going to college as well, and what's even crazier, some of my friends are even getting married and having babies! I could never immagine myself getting married or having a child this young, and I don't know any other people from my highschool that will be attending the same college as me. The two people that I am still in contact with, aren't even from highschool, we had went to cosmetology school together, and I'm glad I'm still contact with them, in fact they are both going to the same college as me, and were hoping to become roomates in a few months, so if that actually happens, it will be a big comfort to me.

I remember when I was about ten years old, and I was so anxious and excited for these days to come when I'd be eighteen and getting ready to move out. But now I just wish I was ten again! I feel like it all went by so fast and that everything is all over. I don't want to grow up.

Tuesday Tunes

Yesterday was a long day, my parents and I took my nephew to fort rickey :childrens zoo...
I never realized how much a toddler can tire someone out.
On the way home I turned on my ipod and listened to mindless self indulgence til I passed out.
I'ved used the on a tuesday before, but you know what, I never get sick of them, so deal with it and go listen to them!

Anyways..
I got a call from the college I'm attending and they told me that I was hired for the night clerk position!
and also, I get to move into my dorm a day early! I'm pretty excited, but it's gonna be weird spending the firs night in there alone. but at least I'll get first pick of what bed I want and stuff. ^.^

Two Weeks Notice

So, today I have been a complete wreck, haha.
I put in my two weeks notice at burger king.
I was so nervous that they would be rude to me or something...
I don't know how it works because all my other jobs were seasonal jobs and I just kinda left them, haha.

I'm actually a little sad to be leaving, I mean, obviously I cannot stay there forever, but I did like it there, I enjoyed the people I worked with, and it just was not a bad summer job...
but, I gotta go to college and move on to bigger and better things, you know?

BUT, some good news, I have an interview at some point this week to be a Night Clerk on my college campus.
I'm not entirely sure yet what this job entails, but when I saw that they needed people, I applied as soon as I could, so I don't know too much about it.

Things I would Rather Not See.

You know what I mean.. when you're walking down the street and you see something that you can't stand, yet it is impossible to look away? It sucks, right!? especially when they notice that you're staring at them and then look at you like your a crazy stalker. ( or maybe they only do that to me!)

1. PDA
I can't stand walking around out in public and seeing a couple who is practically on top of each other in public, making out, groping each other, you know? For one, it's completely trashy, For two, stop it, it's a big slap in the face reminder that I'm alone and am an 18 year old version of a cat lady, and seriously!? Who wants to look at that? You know, once you see them go at it, you have to force yourself out of the area to look away.

2. Girls with permanent wedgies.
What's with the girls who run around with their thongs out of their pants and pulled up so high seriously? why do you do it? IT DOESN'T FEEL GOOD. It just makes everyone stare at their trashy polka-dotted undies, and then their like " ohhh emm geee, don't stare at me you pervert!", because you didn't ask for it or ANYTHING, you're not being a trashy skank at all. ^.-

3. Old Men Who Don 't Know The Wonders Of Belt.
I swear.. Why don't older men know how to use a belt? For real, it does wonders, give it a little try, shall we? I hate seeing old men who go to bend over, and you don't see a little crack, you see the whole damn moon, and sometimes even the ones who you get to see the whole backyard, they aren't even bent over! sheesh.

4. Large Women Who Think They Are Thin.
Okay, I'm not talking about a 10 pound overweight chubby lady.. I'm talking about the women who are verging on like the 300's here, and decide that they want to show it off. Now I have nothing against heavy people, I'm all about choosing your own style no matter what size you are, but can't they be a little classier? They don't need to wear a Bikini, or tight, low rise jeans with a skin tight sphagetti strap tank, you know? they can be stylish and dress for their size... PLEASE!?

5. Skanky Myspace Pictures Of Twelve Year Old Girls.
Okay.. this isn't something you see walking down the street, but it still bothers me..
these 12 year old girls who get practically naked to take some damn myspace pictures.. Seriously.. You're 12.. why!? If you're teachers see that or you're parents, your a dead girl walking. I had a friend in highschool who did that, and her cheerleading coach found the pictures and kicked her off the team, and banned her from ever even trying out again.. It's not good, and if it does things like that, when you're older, it can cause you to lose a job too.. and it sucks when you see these girls in public too, and they are dressed normal, all you can think of is the rediculous pictures of them you saw online that were so trashy, you can't think of them any other way.

Things I Love Thursday

This week, ever since the concert I went to in vermont it's been all about the music, so that has a lot to do with what I love this week..

1. Mike Ness. (Picture above)
The lead singer of social distortion. He is one of the most amazing men ever.
His music is amazing, and for being close to 50 years old, that man has it going on, he is so flipping hott, I am in love.

2. All girl rock bands.
At the social distortion concert, a band called The Civet, opened up for them.. they are a gorgeous all girl rock band, and they are amazing, it's very rare that you find a really good all girl band, and it shows that girls can do things just as good as the boys!

3. Mosh Pits.
Seriously.. so fun! have a good time, dance, bump into people, hey? it works for me!

4. Meeting people at concerts.
This is so much fun, and everyone is always super nice because of the similar interests. ^.^

5. Being up front at concerts.
I'm that weird girl who shows up at concerts 6 hours before they start so I can be in the front row... that being said, I was in the front at the social D concert, and when one of the openers was setting up, he kept looking at me, and then I waved at him and he got all flushed and waved back, haha, and I was also like half a foot away from a very sweaty sexy Mike Ness. :]

Vermont.

So, Vermont was AMAZING!
I'd have to say that Social Distortions performance was the best concert I have ever been to.
They played for over 2 and a half hours, and I was within a foot of Mike Ness, and I swear I was drooling all over the place over that amazing man, haha.
it was so worth the 6 hour drive, and the other bands, the strangers, and The Civet ( who are a totally bad ass all chick band) were awesome too..
now I'm just so tired and I have to get up early to go to work tomorrow. :[

Monday, August 3, 2009

I don't know what to call this one.

I just wanted to say, that my Tuesday tunes post will be a little bit late this week, because tonight I am leaving for Vermont!
I probably won't be back until Wednesday night or so.

I will be going to see Social Distortion in Burlington, Vermont on Tuesday night, then we will be staying in a hotel afterwards and probably leaving to go home first thing in the morning.

sooo. have a good next couple of days, everyone!

Things I love Thursday

This week has been super busy, I've been shopping for college stuff, and one of my friends is in town for the next few days, so I've been hanging out with him and his other friend basically all day, every day, but today I have to calm down and relax a little bit because I have to go back to work tonight. ick!

anyways, what I'm into this week is :

1. Watching boys play Video Games.
Yeah, Lots of girls think that this is boring, but I've been hanging out with these two guys all week, and I actually think it's really funny to watch them get so into it, and have they're victory dances when they win or just about rip out eachothers throats when they lose. :-P

2. Long walks.
I've spent a lot of time being really active and walking around a lot this week, I'm normally really lazy, but I managed to get out a little this week, I walked a mile or so off of the beach trail the other day, and I ended up finding all of these cool old docks people could fish off of or jump off of, and a little further down someone had a big rope tied to a tree so people could swing from it into the water, I'm going to use it at some point before the summer is over.

3. Instant Food.
Haha, I've been so busy this week that I haven't even wanted to eat, so I've been living off of instant soups and tuna, and packaged mini muffins, anddd I Love them.

4. Air Conditioning.
Seriously... It's been so muggy out.. Thank God for Air Conditioning. Enough Said.

5. Geek fests.
This sort of goes along with watching the boys play video games... but there's nothing I love more than being able to just sit and geek out, play video games, read nerdy books, play on Neopets, and play other weird games.

Tuesday Tunes

This week has been completely deprived of excitement, let me tell you...
It consisted of sitting on my butt eating those mini packaged muffins, ate entirely too much take out, reading new moon, and watching those awful "made-for-TV" sci-fi movies...

and I happened to meet the loneliest hairdresser on this planet.
I go into the salon, and the woman jumps up the instant I walk in there, acting a little TOO excited, and before I could even manage too tell her what service I wanted, she spent 20 minutes telling me how quiet the salon has been and all the little things she has been doing to keep herself occupied.
Then I finally manage to say "Hey, I just want my eyebrows waxed", so she brings me out to the waxing area, and yes, I'd say I get my eyebrows waxed a lot, and the experience has never lasted any long than 15 minutes at the MOST... Seriously, this woman stretched out an eyebrow waxing for an HOUR, no joke, she spent this hour talking about how angry she is at her boss for giving her the slower shifts, then she told me about her husband and her family, then asked me if I was married and had kids? (Uh hello lady, I'm only 18!) but yeah, that went on for an hour, until I could get her to stop talking and just finish my damn eyebrows. sheesh!

The Tunes this week have been kind of deprived as well, because I only have one band for you this week :

Social Distortion

Very good band, I would suggest that you listen to the songs, "Mommy's little Monster", and "Pretty In Pink", those are MY favorites.
I also happen to be driving all the way to Vermont next Tuesday and spending two days there just to see these fantastic gentlemen, that's why they are the only band I've been listening too!

Things I love Thursday

I Only have one thing I love for this Thursday, and it is the town of Oswego's Harborfest.
I grew up in this town and in a town as small as this one, this is the best event of all year..
there is concerts, a small carnival, a few streets filled with flea market type vendors, it's such a small town, but people from all over the country travel to this event and I love it.
I went for a few hours today and it was fun, it's nice to walk around and see everything, and I ran into a few old friends that I haven't seen in ages. :]

Who's Feelin Crazy?

well. I went shopping today, and I must have been feeling very bright and crazy today, because when I bought my bedspread for college, it was hot pink.

I also bought these hot pink skinnies :

And I also picked up these:

So yeah, that was pretty interesting... I just have NO idea where on earth I'll ever wear these?
Maybe to the Social Distortion Concert I'm going to. :] ( Did I say I'm seeing Social Distortion? I am, on August 4th I'm driving like a million miles to Vermont to see them ^.^)

Tuesday Tunes

They're are a lot of crazy tunes running through my head this week!
I've been pretty bored, so what else do I have to do?

1. Good Charlotte
These boys have been one of my favorite bands ever since I was little, but this week I found myself jamming out to some of there older albums such as "The Young And The Hopeless", you know back when they weren't that popular and sang songs about robbing the rich celebrities? yeah, those were the days... It is also a large plus that I have a huge attraction to beautiful men with ten million tattoos and peircings, such as Benji Madden, Yes, I hold lots of love for that guy!

2. Dropkick Murphy's
My brother is the one who got me into this band, and I haven't been a fan for too long, but my brother like to blast them on the car stereo when we are on our way to our crazy mountain adventures, so this week I've been rocking out to "The meanest of Times"

3. Gwen Stefani
I don't have anything to say other than this chick is crazy and I LOVE HER.

4. Kate Nash.
I love her music so much, that's it, and another thing, if there was someone I wanted to trade places with, it would be her, she is gorgeous, has such a pretty voice, and I absolutely LOVE her style.

5. Tenacious D.
This band is so crazy that they cheer me up whenever I'm feeling down, I don't know another band that can get away with swearing every other word in their songs and still I consider them good music.

Why I love picking cherries.

Let me say how much I absolutely LOATHE cherries, you will never in a million years, if it was the last food that remained on the Earth, catch me eating one.
It's a good thing that everyone else in my family like to eat them because the only thing I like to do is pick them.

I LOVE to pick cherries. Seriously, what could be more fun?
I went with my parents and picked some today, it makes me feel like a little kid again and I love it. The trees are big, so there are ladders to climb up for the weak-hearted, but what I like to do, is just climb right up the tree with my bucket and pick them while I climb the tree.

It's the only way that I can get away with having fun climbing a tree without people looking at me like I'm immature, and you know what, I don't want to be a boring adult, Once in a while I want to be a fun ten year old little girl who scrapes her hands and knees when she climbs up a tree and then falls down on her bum.

Question for the comments :
What do you like to do that makes you feel like a little kid again?

Things I wish I knew before I graduated from Highschool

First off, I want to say that I am ecstatic that I am done with highschool, I don't have any idea what kind of drugs the person was on who said "Highschool will be the best years of your life".
I mean, are you serious? For me, highschool was a series of humilations, "mean girl" drama, and heartaches.

I was not popular, I didn't have any money, I didn't play sports, I wasn't in any clubs, and my grades weren't anything special, I was the "ugly best friend" to the beautiful cheerleader, the friend they used to feel better about themselves. Most of my time in highschool, I spent at home, I was not invited out with my friends, and when I was, I was always the third wheel.

So now that I'm all done, I realize that all those things are so unimportant, and there are so many better things out there after highschool, it's deffinality not the end of anything, but the start of my real life.. but there are some things I wish I had known before :

1. Popularity is not important.
I said before that I was not popular, but my "best friend" was, and it seemed as if nothing in the world could be more important than popularity.. I mean, now that we're done with school, what will her popularity do for her? She might never see the people she was popular with ever ever again, she could have done more important things with her time besides partying with the "cool kids".

2. Don't take highschool romances too seriously.
During my sophomore year of highschool I met my first serious boyfriend, he was new to the school, and we had instantly clicked, and we started dating very soon after that.. I got caught up in having my first love, and I stopped caring about everything else, I spent every second of my time with him, thats when I lost most of my friends, I mostly only spent time with him and his friends, my grades suffered, I started to fail school, and I was always fighting with my parents.. and after a year of being with him, he left me for a girl that he knew for a week. Just like that. I made him my life, and he threw me away that fast like I was a used tissue.. When that happened, I broke down, I was depressed for months, I lost my friends because I avoided them when I first got with my boyfriend so they weren't there for me anymore and the friends I did have were his friends so they blew me off, too, so I had noone. I made the biggest mistake of them all, I made a boy into my life. Highschool romances should never be taken seriously, because MOST of the time they will not last, and they just lead to heartbreak, and ever since then, I have not dated and I will not date until I get into college.

3. Friendships WILL fade.
I learned during my junior year when my first boyfriend broke up with me, that friendships don't last forever, I became basically a loner because most of my friends moved on and began to avoid me, after that I really only had one or two friends until I graduated, and even then they were not close friends, we did not spend any time together outside of school, and now that were graduated, I haven't spoken to ANY of them since that night.. it just shows that the people you meet in highschool probably won't be around forever, so why try so hard to impress them? they'll drift apart eventually.

4. An education really IS important.
When I was a freshman I did not care about school at all, I was a slacker and I failed two classes, and I did the least amount of work possible in order to get by, and I honestly didn't care about how badly I was doing... It wasn't up until the end of my sophomore year that I started to get goals, and started to work hard... and because of my actions, I was not accepted into a good college, I will have to go to community college AND take extra classes in order to get myself in the direction I now want to go in..

Question for the comments :
Is there anything you wish you knew in highschool or would change about your current highschool experience if you could?

Things I love Thursday

This week has been a pretty boring week, other than my car accident, which was possibly the scariest thing that has ever happened to me...
but theres nothing wrong with being a little bored every now and then...

This week, I love ;

1. Lazy Days
I love my days off when I don't even feel like leaving the house, I'll sleep til 11, get up, eat muffins and soda for breakfast, watch tv for a little while, and spend an hour or so catching up on my blog reading, maybe play the sims, spend a few hours reading, and sometimes if it's a wednesday, I go to a "bunco" game with my parents, which I admit is a little bit of an "old" persons way of gambling but I like it! Then I'll spend a lot of time reading and eating junk food until I pass out.

2. Camping with my brother.
I'm actually very close with my older brother, and we both have camping and hiking in common, so we spent the night up in the adirondacks and his girlfriend came along too..
I always have a blast with him, we sit in the dark while we set up camp and we just talk about everything, and we're sort of on the same wavelength because if you had to stereotype us, we are the "outcasts" in our family, our parents never help us out with anything while they spoil the rest of our siblings, it's just really nice to have someone in my family who understands everything about me, and get along with so well.

3. The "Yes and Yes" Blog.
I have to say that "Yes and Yes" is my favorite blog to read, and I always hoped that one day my blog could be as good as hers.. but anyways, I read her blog everyday, there isn't all that much to say about it, it's really self explanatory, so just read it. :]

4. Payday!
Fridays are the payday for my job at Burger King, and although I don't make a lot of money, it's nice getting that paycheck every friday, because every friday when I get my check I'm that much closer to getting the money I need for college, and that much closer to moving out of my parents house, which if you know me, you know it's the last place I want to be.

5. MTV's "Sixteen and Pregnant".
This show has made me more happy than ever, that I am not a teenage mother, but it doesn't mean that it still isn't one of my guilty pleasures to watch it..
It's just that some of these girls are rediculous, they have there babies because they are to selfish to give it a better life, to parents who are stable enough to take care of them, and then they don't even TRY to be the best for their baby.... they try to shove the baby off onto there mothers so they can go out and party again, I mean.. seriously? grow up, You're a mother now, it is YOUR baby, so why do you try to make your mother take care of it? You gave up your partying days when you decided to keep your baby.. I get very opinionated on this subject, but It's still my favorite TV show of the moment. :]

Scariest day of my life

I'm pretty sure that today was the top scariest day of my life...
My brother, his girlfriend and I were on a camping trip in the adirondacks, and we like to hike, so we were on our way to mt. chimney to climb the mountain...
the road was a narrow meandering dirt road, and so out of no where, this boy, probably about 15 or 16 years old, comes out of nowhere going about 50MPH on a dirtbike, and what happens?...

we hit him with the car...
I swear to god.. we got so lucky, my brother and I thought that he was dead, we were sure we ran him over...
but when we got out of the car, he had just kinda flew off his bike and had only minor cuts and bruises..
I swear, Id never been so scared in my life...

then after that we were so shaken up that we didn't climb the mountain.. we just headed home, and stopped at a police station on a way home to report the accident, even though the boy didn't want us too.. we were worried..

Things that all Burger King Customers need to learn

As I have said many times.. I work a summer job at Burger King and already there are some things that I cannot stand, and this goes for anyone in any restuarant...

You need to learn :

1. Be Patient.. Seriously... dont be mad at me when you spout off your entire order faster than lightening and then I say, " Did you want cheese on your burger?"... It is out of my control.. I am not slow, The screen on the register does not allow me to add anymore to the order until I finish the modifier for the item that came before.

2. Clean up after yourself! Okay.. Why must you Leave everything on the table? I am not a waitress or a busser, I am a Cashier, It is not my job to clean up after you, all I am saposed to do is wipe the table down... and is it really nessecary to dump your soda's on the floor then run away? I mean, accidents happen, but you could at least come up to me and tell me what you did so I don't step in it and slip and fall in a puddle of mountain dew while I'm out checking the dining room.

3. Be Potty Trained? I THOUGHT you were saposed to be taught this as a toddler.. but apparently, most of you miss and get everything on.. oh.. the side of the toilet.. the floor.. the WALLS? seriously...I don't like cleaning up your poop, it's not as hard for you to clean up your own bodily waste as it is for me, I mean, at least TRY to get rid of a little of it for me? I mean, It's so rude, I don't go into the place where you work or live and poop on the floor and rub it on the walls. THANKS.

Things I love Thursday...

So. I just wanted to say how excited I am...
I finally finished all 1000 of my cosmetology hours!
I now have my temporary cosmetology lisence... Or at least I will as soon as I mail the papers in. ^.^

So soon I'm going to be looking for a job in a cute little salon, while I get myself ready for my state board exam for my regular lisence. dun dunn dunnn!

Another thing.. seriously... DO NOT BUY THE SIMS 3... No joke..
It's frustrating how addicting that game can be...
I played it for 6 hours straight without even realizing it..
I couldn't even force myself to step away from my labtop...

Okay.. anyways.. the point of this post, is that I am starting a "Things I love Thursday".. (Lets see how long this lasts!!)
So anyways... ;

1. Cosmetology
As I said before, I finished all my cosmetology hours, and that makes me love it anymore... but seriously... whats better than a job where you get paid to play with people's hair all day? seriously... It's the greatest feeling knowing you've made someone feel better about themself..

2. Mountain Climbing
My brother gave me a little text today, and told me that after I get out of work on Saterday, he is taking me camping up in the adirondacks, and then on sunday we will be going Mountain climbing, which, if you know me well, you know it's my favorite thing on earth, it's such an adrenaline rush!

3. Twilight
Yeah.. It is my second time reading this... but I cann't get over how much fun this book is to read... some of the concepts are rediculously weird, but I don't care... everytime I read it it's almost like it's the first time all over again!

4. Michael Jackson
If you know me well, you also know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Michael Jackson, and I don't care what anyone says, I don't believe he did any of the bad things people accused him of, but anyways, I love him, I literally cried when he died, and when his memorial was aired on TV, I've had his albums on repeat all week.

5. Twitter
Seriously... the best Time waster in the world.. really.. who give a hoot what I'm doing all the time? But I don't care, I Tweet about every single detail of my life, even when I need to take a Pee. and It's rediculously entertaining to add Celebrities and read about there every mood. ^.^

Have a nice day everyone!

updates..

I really have not had much to blog about lately..
This summer is really that boring..
Burger King gave me 20 hours this week so that's good.
more money for the college savings! ^.-
and I'm also trying to find a second job, because... I dont have much of a social life, so I might as well work more!

Other than that....
I went to my friend Alex's Graduation Party, where I ate from a large chocolate fountain ( I wish I was rich enough to own a chocolate fountain!!), and played a game called "Monster Ball", which is a mix between baseball and kickball, where I managed to fall on my butt at least 2 times due to my lack of coordination. :-P
But it was fun..

and I am now also reading Twilight over again for fun.... and it'll be my 3rd time reading it..
*sigh @ my pathetic-ness*

Stupid BK

I spoke too soon about Burger King giving me 20 hours a week. -.-
This week they decided to only give me 8 hours..
I am PRETTY sure that this is not going to help me save money for college!!

Graduation/camp

I know that I have not updated in a while!!
my internet has been down and I graduated last night and got my gift! (this labtop!)
So right now I have been without internet for so long that I am using the wireless at the campground we are at...

So other than that, not much is up, I am working about 20 hours a week at Burger King, and am saving for college now..

Last Day of school/ Awards..

So today was my last day of highschool.. wow..
I mean, I am EXTREMELY happy to finally be done with this place..
but I'm scared, because for the first time in my life, I don't know what im going to be walking into in the fall, and I don't know where I'll be a year from now, you know?
The security of coming back to the people I have grown up with is gone now, and it's the scariest thing ever.

It was sad saying goodbye to everyone, BUT I won some awards this year. ^.^
I won, : the Presidential academic achievement award, Perfect Attendance, The Elks Club Teenager of The Month, The Principal Award, and a Cosmetology Award.

Senior Trip..

So, My Senior Trip was a blast!
We went to Virginia Beach, and went to Busch Gardens, and the Naval Base, and spent a ton of time on the beach.
When we went to Busch gardens, it was down pouring, and it was a blast going on all the rides in the rain, although I have a cold now because of it. -.-

Anyways, here are some pictures!

Smack!

Smack... is like.. one of those "slap in the face" books..
seriously.. I think everyone should read it..
it shows how teenagers really are, none of the innocence that most of the media portrays..

but really, lesson of this book : 14 year old's shouldn't run away from home and become heroin junkies, and make babies. not smart! (well.. noone should do heroin, but yanno)

anyways.. one of my followers asked me to put this in this blog post. ^.^

Hi I am (Trisha) and I enjoy obssessing over Twilight. If you don't know who Bella is, go smack yourself.
If you don't know who Edward is, go punch yourself.
If you don't know who the Cullens are, go eat your foot.
If you don't know who Jacob is, go eat your other foot.
If you have never heard of Twilight and don't know what it is, go dig a hole, get in it, and wait for it to rain.

Burger King

Yeah. Tonight is my Job Interview at Burger King..
It's really sad.. I'm Nervous about a job interview to be a burger flipper. -.-
yikes...

so yeah... I'm behind on basically everything..
I'm up to my ears in math homework every night, and My Senior "Salon" Project for cosmetology is due on June 8th, and its a major pain in the butt to work on..
and I'm reading "Smack"..

I need to learn how to multitask better, cause a job will just make me further behind... O__o

only like 15 or so more days, and no more high school forever!!

weekend

School got cancelled last thursday ^.^
So I spent the day with a good friend, then it got really hot out, so I wanted to go to my parents camp.

So, I went camping this weekend with my parents and nephew..

and I went job hunting..
So I walk into Burger King, and they offer me an interview right away...
it went well, I think, but now I have my second interview on Thursday...
Hopefully I get this job.. It really sucks, because I really hate fast food restaurants, BUT I really can't afford to be picky right now, it's very hard to get a job in this economy, and I need one before I get out of school..
I need College money, ahhh!

um...
There wasn't much to do this weekend, and I forgot to bring books, so I picked up my mothers copy of "Gone With The Wind", and okay.... I appreciate the book, and I understand that it is a classic, and that is why I gave it a chance.. BUT yikes.. It took me the entire weekend to read 50 pages before I gave up, it's so boring, and the writing style is just so weird to me.. -.-

so therefore, I am now reading a book called "Smack".. :)

Rejection

so... for the past 5 years, my best friend has been telling me that he is in love with me...
and I always rejected him, but he was always still there for me, he never left my side...
and now just recently.. I've noticed how amazing he is and what a great man he's growing up to be..
and I realized that all along, I loved him too..
so when I went to his apartment on Thursday to hang out with him.. I told him all of this, and that I wanted to be with him...
after I told him this.. he just said " I need to take you home now, I have to go to work soon"...
So he took me home.. and I haven't heard from him since.. he stopped replying to my texts, and doesn't answer my calls.

cool. I love rejection... especially when 2 weeks before I tell him this, he tells me that he still wanted to be with me.. funny how quick a guy can change his mind huh?

maybe I deserved it.. :[

Between school and cosmetology...
I have to do extra studying for math, because I am on the verge of failing, and if I fail the class, I dont graduate this june..
and in Cosmetology I have my state test next week, so I have to keep spending time getting ready for the practical and studying for that..
and also I have to do my salon project that Is keeping me running all over the town, it's such a pain in my ass..

sheesh!
I need to graduate and get away from school stress for a while til I move away for college. sheeeesh!

Damn. I'm sick of high school, this last 2 months-ish need to go by faster so I can graduate already!

Atkins!

So.. for the past few weeks I have been on The Atkins diet, which is basically a high Protein, low carb diet..
and honestly.. I have to say this is the best diet ever.. I am never feeling like I'm starving which is what always messes me up..
It said it was saposed to make you lose weight fast (even faster when you work out, and I ride a bike).. and holy hell were they right.. when I started my weight was 137 (ick for me!), and when I stepped on the scale today, I was at 126ish. ^.^ which is a little bit better!

Only about 11 more pounds til my goal weight! ^.^
Im so excited!

Tuesday Tunes

I notice how I've sort of skipped out on my Tuesday Tunes thing already...
I think im still recuperating from my busy week last week.
I went to a concert, stayed at school til 6pm one night, then didn't go to bed the next night and left for NYC at 4am, and got home at almost 1am the next day.. then got only 4 hours of sleep that night...
then the next night I had to stay at school late again, then camped all weekend..
ick!

Give me some time to get my groove back. haha. I'm so out of it.

I hate it there.. -.-

My god... I'm 18 years old, I think I'd be okay at the house by myself...

ugh.. this first weekend there was so boring, it was cold and blah! I just sat wrapped up in a blanket with a book the entire time, yep.

So last night I went to a concert! ^.^

So all of the bands were amazing, Red Jumpsuit and Secondhand Serenade put on an awesome show!
and afterwords, I met the band Drive A, and took pictures with them, and talked/ hung out with them for a little while.
It was a blast..

The pictures are on my cell phone so they arent amazing quality, but i'll post them eventually..

Saturday was a nice day.

wow, so yesterday ended up being 88 degrees!
it was crazy!

So I got dressed in some cute little shorts and a tank top. :]
Then My parents and I spent the day at their camp...
we had to walk in since the camp hasn't officially been open for the year, and it was a couple mile walk, but idc, the walk was nice, and it was nice spending the warm day at my parents camp and near the lake...

and by the time we left, I was a little sunburnt, little casper here needed some color :-P
then on the way home we got icecream :]

then right when I got home, my bestfriend Delbert, who I haven't seen in months, calls me and tells me that he finally got a car and wants to come get me and hang out before he went to work..
so he came and got me, and we drove around for a while, it was nice seeing him. :]

My Newest Project ;; Wreck This Journal! and Tuesday Tunes.

My Newest project just arrived in the mail today and it is "Wreck This Journal"..
I thought it would help me stop being such a perfectionist ^.-

if you have not heard of this project... basically, the book tells you all different ways in which to destroy it, by doing things such as burning it, showering with it, cutting pages up, random doodling, etc... but by the time you finish the book it's saposed to be a giant mess. haha.
So I'm excited to start this..

NEXT THING...
I have decided that my blog is getting a little bit on the boring side with me only doing book reviews and talking about my boring life..
So I am now going to do a Tuesday Tunes!
what I am going to do, is every Tuesday I am going to list the top 5 songs that are stuck in my head along with some form of a music video with them.. so here are this weeks songs!

1. Zyrdate Anatomy
Okay.. I know it's from a musical, but ever since I watched the movie this song has been stuck in my head, it's morbid and creepy in the best way possible, and I love it.

2. Step right up - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
So, this weekend, I am going to a Red jumpsuit and Secondhand Serenade concert! So I've been listening to these bands alot, and this one has been my favorite so far.

3. Stay, Don't Go - Secondhand Serenade
This one, is my favorite of the newer secondhand serenade songs!

4. Don't Trust Me - 3OH!3
Honestly, I normally absolutely cannot stand music like this, but I just think this song is so catchy :]

5. What Hurts The Most - Rascal Flatts
This song is so so sad, but I absolutely love it, it was first shown to me by one of my ex-boyfriends, who actually was the one who got me to like country! haha.

All Together Dead

Warning ;; Spoilers!!

alright...
I JUST finished the last few pages of this book about 2 hours ago..
I was staying late at cosmetology school to get some extra hours and while I was waiting for my ride, I finished the book. :]
This is going to be as short and sweet as possible because I am feeling incredibly lazy today.

Anyways...
In this book The vampire queen ( Sophie-Anne), had been accused of murdering her husband, so she is being put on trial, so she is paying Sookie to go with her so she can read everyones minds to make sure everyone was being honest.

That's basically the whole plot of this one, and along with that someone snuck into her hotel and murdered other vampires in the hotel, and then someone had tried to bomb the hotel during the daytime so that the vampires would burn to death in the sun..
but of course, Sookie and the other telepath (his name is barry!) found out before hand and managed to save most of the humans, and the vampires that they were friends with, along with a few random others. *shrug*

ANYWAYS! that's about it..
um.. I did like this book, it's a little more action packed than the other ones..
and although I do not like Quinn ( Sookie's "were-tiger" boyfriend), I like that SO FAR she has actually stayed with him and not moved on to a million other supernatural beings. haha.

So yes.. There's one book left in this series (which I have, and am doing next), and after that, the next book comes out sometime in May, so while I wait for that I'll be switching around to some other books I haven't read yet.

Repo! The Genetic Opera

I swear.. This movie looks, morbid and creepy in the most awesome way possible.
I just HAVE to watch the whole thing.

Mail

This book, just arrived in my mailbox this morning. yay!
I'm so excited to read it...
it's too bad I still have a bunch of books to read before it. *sigh*
