Things I love Thursday

This week has been super busy, I've been shopping for college stuff, and one of my friends is in town for the next few days, so I've been hanging out with him and his other friend basically all day, every day, but today I have to calm down and relax a little bit because I have to go back to work tonight. ick!

anyways, what I'm into this week is :

1. Watching boys play Video Games.
Yeah, Lots of girls think that this is boring, but I've been hanging out with these two guys all week, and I actually think it's really funny to watch them get so into it, and have they're victory dances when they win or just about rip out eachothers throats when they lose. :-P

2. Long walks.
I've spent a lot of time being really active and walking around a lot this week, I'm normally really lazy, but I managed to get out a little this week, I walked a mile or so off of the beach trail the other day, and I ended up finding all of these cool old docks people could fish off of or jump off of, and a little further down someone had a big rope tied to a tree so people could swing from it into the water, I'm going to use it at some point before the summer is over.

3. Instant Food.
Haha, I've been so busy this week that I haven't even wanted to eat, so I've been living off of instant soups and tuna, and packaged mini muffins, anddd I Love them.

4. Air Conditioning.
Seriously... It's been so muggy out.. Thank God for Air Conditioning. Enough Said.

5. Geek fests.
This sort of goes along with watching the boys play video games... but there's nothing I love more than being able to just sit and geek out, play video games, read nerdy books, play on Neopets, and play other weird games.

Tuesday Tunes

This week has been completely deprived of excitement, let me tell you...
It consisted of sitting on my butt eating those mini packaged muffins, ate entirely too much take out, reading new moon, and watching those awful "made-for-TV" sci-fi movies...

and I happened to meet the loneliest hairdresser on this planet.
I go into the salon, and the woman jumps up the instant I walk in there, acting a little TOO excited, and before I could even manage too tell her what service I wanted, she spent 20 minutes telling me how quiet the salon has been and all the little things she has been doing to keep herself occupied.
Then I finally manage to say "Hey, I just want my eyebrows waxed", so she brings me out to the waxing area, and yes, I'd say I get my eyebrows waxed a lot, and the experience has never lasted any long than 15 minutes at the MOST... Seriously, this woman stretched out an eyebrow waxing for an HOUR, no joke, she spent this hour talking about how angry she is at her boss for giving her the slower shifts, then she told me about her husband and her family, then asked me if I was married and had kids? (Uh hello lady, I'm only 18!) but yeah, that went on for an hour, until I could get her to stop talking and just finish my damn eyebrows. sheesh!

The Tunes this week have been kind of deprived as well, because I only have one band for you this week :

Social Distortion

Very good band, I would suggest that you listen to the songs, "Mommy's little Monster", and "Pretty In Pink", those are MY favorites.
I also happen to be driving all the way to Vermont next Tuesday and spending two days there just to see these fantastic gentlemen, that's why they are the only band I've been listening too!

Things I love Thursday

I Only have one thing I love for this Thursday, and it is the town of Oswego's Harborfest.
I grew up in this town and in a town as small as this one, this is the best event of all year..
there is concerts, a small carnival, a few streets filled with flea market type vendors, it's such a small town, but people from all over the country travel to this event and I love it.
I went for a few hours today and it was fun, it's nice to walk around and see everything, and I ran into a few old friends that I haven't seen in ages. :]

Who's Feelin Crazy?

well. I went shopping today, and I must have been feeling very bright and crazy today, because when I bought my bedspread for college, it was hot pink.

I also bought these hot pink skinnies :

And I also picked up these:

So yeah, that was pretty interesting... I just have NO idea where on earth I'll ever wear these?
Maybe to the Social Distortion Concert I'm going to. :] ( Did I say I'm seeing Social Distortion? I am, on August 4th I'm driving like a million miles to Vermont to see them ^.^)

Tuesday Tunes

They're are a lot of crazy tunes running through my head this week!
I've been pretty bored, so what else do I have to do?

1. Good Charlotte
These boys have been one of my favorite bands ever since I was little, but this week I found myself jamming out to some of there older albums such as "The Young And The Hopeless", you know back when they weren't that popular and sang songs about robbing the rich celebrities? yeah, those were the days... It is also a large plus that I have a huge attraction to beautiful men with ten million tattoos and peircings, such as Benji Madden, Yes, I hold lots of love for that guy!

2. Dropkick Murphy's
My brother is the one who got me into this band, and I haven't been a fan for too long, but my brother like to blast them on the car stereo when we are on our way to our crazy mountain adventures, so this week I've been rocking out to "The meanest of Times"

3. Gwen Stefani
I don't have anything to say other than this chick is crazy and I LOVE HER.

4. Kate Nash.
I love her music so much, that's it, and another thing, if there was someone I wanted to trade places with, it would be her, she is gorgeous, has such a pretty voice, and I absolutely LOVE her style.

5. Tenacious D.
This band is so crazy that they cheer me up whenever I'm feeling down, I don't know another band that can get away with swearing every other word in their songs and still I consider them good music.

Why I love picking cherries.

Let me say how much I absolutely LOATHE cherries, you will never in a million years, if it was the last food that remained on the Earth, catch me eating one.
It's a good thing that everyone else in my family like to eat them because the only thing I like to do is pick them.

I LOVE to pick cherries. Seriously, what could be more fun?
I went with my parents and picked some today, it makes me feel like a little kid again and I love it. The trees are big, so there are ladders to climb up for the weak-hearted, but what I like to do, is just climb right up the tree with my bucket and pick them while I climb the tree.

It's the only way that I can get away with having fun climbing a tree without people looking at me like I'm immature, and you know what, I don't want to be a boring adult, Once in a while I want to be a fun ten year old little girl who scrapes her hands and knees when she climbs up a tree and then falls down on her bum.

Question for the comments :
What do you like to do that makes you feel like a little kid again?

Things I wish I knew before I graduated from Highschool

First off, I want to say that I am ecstatic that I am done with highschool, I don't have any idea what kind of drugs the person was on who said "Highschool will be the best years of your life".
I mean, are you serious? For me, highschool was a series of humilations, "mean girl" drama, and heartaches.

I was not popular, I didn't have any money, I didn't play sports, I wasn't in any clubs, and my grades weren't anything special, I was the "ugly best friend" to the beautiful cheerleader, the friend they used to feel better about themselves. Most of my time in highschool, I spent at home, I was not invited out with my friends, and when I was, I was always the third wheel.

So now that I'm all done, I realize that all those things are so unimportant, and there are so many better things out there after highschool, it's deffinality not the end of anything, but the start of my real life.. but there are some things I wish I had known before :

1. Popularity is not important.
I said before that I was not popular, but my "best friend" was, and it seemed as if nothing in the world could be more important than popularity.. I mean, now that we're done with school, what will her popularity do for her? She might never see the people she was popular with ever ever again, she could have done more important things with her time besides partying with the "cool kids".

2. Don't take highschool romances too seriously.
During my sophomore year of highschool I met my first serious boyfriend, he was new to the school, and we had instantly clicked, and we started dating very soon after that.. I got caught up in having my first love, and I stopped caring about everything else, I spent every second of my time with him, thats when I lost most of my friends, I mostly only spent time with him and his friends, my grades suffered, I started to fail school, and I was always fighting with my parents.. and after a year of being with him, he left me for a girl that he knew for a week. Just like that. I made him my life, and he threw me away that fast like I was a used tissue.. When that happened, I broke down, I was depressed for months, I lost my friends because I avoided them when I first got with my boyfriend so they weren't there for me anymore and the friends I did have were his friends so they blew me off, too, so I had noone. I made the biggest mistake of them all, I made a boy into my life. Highschool romances should never be taken seriously, because MOST of the time they will not last, and they just lead to heartbreak, and ever since then, I have not dated and I will not date until I get into college.

3. Friendships WILL fade.
I learned during my junior year when my first boyfriend broke up with me, that friendships don't last forever, I became basically a loner because most of my friends moved on and began to avoid me, after that I really only had one or two friends until I graduated, and even then they were not close friends, we did not spend any time together outside of school, and now that were graduated, I haven't spoken to ANY of them since that night.. it just shows that the people you meet in highschool probably won't be around forever, so why try so hard to impress them? they'll drift apart eventually.

4. An education really IS important.
When I was a freshman I did not care about school at all, I was a slacker and I failed two classes, and I did the least amount of work possible in order to get by, and I honestly didn't care about how badly I was doing... It wasn't up until the end of my sophomore year that I started to get goals, and started to work hard... and because of my actions, I was not accepted into a good college, I will have to go to community college AND take extra classes in order to get myself in the direction I now want to go in..

Question for the comments :
Is there anything you wish you knew in highschool or would change about your current highschool experience if you could?

Things I love Thursday

This week has been a pretty boring week, other than my car accident, which was possibly the scariest thing that has ever happened to me...
but theres nothing wrong with being a little bored every now and then...

This week, I love ;

1. Lazy Days
I love my days off when I don't even feel like leaving the house, I'll sleep til 11, get up, eat muffins and soda for breakfast, watch tv for a little while, and spend an hour or so catching up on my blog reading, maybe play the sims, spend a few hours reading, and sometimes if it's a wednesday, I go to a "bunco" game with my parents, which I admit is a little bit of an "old" persons way of gambling but I like it! Then I'll spend a lot of time reading and eating junk food until I pass out.

2. Camping with my brother.
I'm actually very close with my older brother, and we both have camping and hiking in common, so we spent the night up in the adirondacks and his girlfriend came along too..
I always have a blast with him, we sit in the dark while we set up camp and we just talk about everything, and we're sort of on the same wavelength because if you had to stereotype us, we are the "outcasts" in our family, our parents never help us out with anything while they spoil the rest of our siblings, it's just really nice to have someone in my family who understands everything about me, and get along with so well.

3. The "Yes and Yes" Blog.
I have to say that "Yes and Yes" is my favorite blog to read, and I always hoped that one day my blog could be as good as hers.. but anyways, I read her blog everyday, there isn't all that much to say about it, it's really self explanatory, so just read it. :]

4. Payday!
Fridays are the payday for my job at Burger King, and although I don't make a lot of money, it's nice getting that paycheck every friday, because every friday when I get my check I'm that much closer to getting the money I need for college, and that much closer to moving out of my parents house, which if you know me, you know it's the last place I want to be.

5. MTV's "Sixteen and Pregnant".
This show has made me more happy than ever, that I am not a teenage mother, but it doesn't mean that it still isn't one of my guilty pleasures to watch it..
It's just that some of these girls are rediculous, they have there babies because they are to selfish to give it a better life, to parents who are stable enough to take care of them, and then they don't even TRY to be the best for their baby.... they try to shove the baby off onto there mothers so they can go out and party again, I mean.. seriously? grow up, You're a mother now, it is YOUR baby, so why do you try to make your mother take care of it? You gave up your partying days when you decided to keep your baby.. I get very opinionated on this subject, but It's still my favorite TV show of the moment. :]

Scariest day of my life

I'm pretty sure that today was the top scariest day of my life...
My brother, his girlfriend and I were on a camping trip in the adirondacks, and we like to hike, so we were on our way to mt. chimney to climb the mountain...
the road was a narrow meandering dirt road, and so out of no where, this boy, probably about 15 or 16 years old, comes out of nowhere going about 50MPH on a dirtbike, and what happens?...

we hit him with the car...
I swear to god.. we got so lucky, my brother and I thought that he was dead, we were sure we ran him over...
but when we got out of the car, he had just kinda flew off his bike and had only minor cuts and bruises..
I swear, Id never been so scared in my life...

then after that we were so shaken up that we didn't climb the mountain.. we just headed home, and stopped at a police station on a way home to report the accident, even though the boy didn't want us too.. we were worried..

Things that all Burger King Customers need to learn

As I have said many times.. I work a summer job at Burger King and already there are some things that I cannot stand, and this goes for anyone in any restuarant...

You need to learn :

1. Be Patient.. Seriously... dont be mad at me when you spout off your entire order faster than lightening and then I say, " Did you want cheese on your burger?"... It is out of my control.. I am not slow, The screen on the register does not allow me to add anymore to the order until I finish the modifier for the item that came before.

2. Clean up after yourself! Okay.. Why must you Leave everything on the table? I am not a waitress or a busser, I am a Cashier, It is not my job to clean up after you, all I am saposed to do is wipe the table down... and is it really nessecary to dump your soda's on the floor then run away? I mean, accidents happen, but you could at least come up to me and tell me what you did so I don't step in it and slip and fall in a puddle of mountain dew while I'm out checking the dining room.

3. Be Potty Trained? I THOUGHT you were saposed to be taught this as a toddler.. but apparently, most of you miss and get everything on.. oh.. the side of the toilet.. the floor.. the WALLS? seriously...I don't like cleaning up your poop, it's not as hard for you to clean up your own bodily waste as it is for me, I mean, at least TRY to get rid of a little of it for me? I mean, It's so rude, I don't go into the place where you work or live and poop on the floor and rub it on the walls. THANKS.

Things I love Thursday...

So. I just wanted to say how excited I am...
I finally finished all 1000 of my cosmetology hours!
I now have my temporary cosmetology lisence... Or at least I will as soon as I mail the papers in. ^.^

So soon I'm going to be looking for a job in a cute little salon, while I get myself ready for my state board exam for my regular lisence. dun dunn dunnn!

Another thing.. seriously... DO NOT BUY THE SIMS 3... No joke..
It's frustrating how addicting that game can be...
I played it for 6 hours straight without even realizing it..
I couldn't even force myself to step away from my labtop...

Okay.. anyways.. the point of this post, is that I am starting a "Things I love Thursday".. (Lets see how long this lasts!!)
So anyways... ;

1. Cosmetology
As I said before, I finished all my cosmetology hours, and that makes me love it anymore... but seriously... whats better than a job where you get paid to play with people's hair all day? seriously... It's the greatest feeling knowing you've made someone feel better about themself..

2. Mountain Climbing
My brother gave me a little text today, and told me that after I get out of work on Saterday, he is taking me camping up in the adirondacks, and then on sunday we will be going Mountain climbing, which, if you know me well, you know it's my favorite thing on earth, it's such an adrenaline rush!

3. Twilight
Yeah.. It is my second time reading this... but I cann't get over how much fun this book is to read... some of the concepts are rediculously weird, but I don't care... everytime I read it it's almost like it's the first time all over again!

4. Michael Jackson
If you know me well, you also know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Michael Jackson, and I don't care what anyone says, I don't believe he did any of the bad things people accused him of, but anyways, I love him, I literally cried when he died, and when his memorial was aired on TV, I've had his albums on repeat all week.

5. Twitter
Seriously... the best Time waster in the world.. really.. who give a hoot what I'm doing all the time? But I don't care, I Tweet about every single detail of my life, even when I need to take a Pee. and It's rediculously entertaining to add Celebrities and read about there every mood. ^.^

Have a nice day everyone!
<3

updates..

I really have not had much to blog about lately..
This summer is really that boring..
Burger King gave me 20 hours this week so that's good.
more money for the college savings! ^.-
and I'm also trying to find a second job, because... I dont have much of a social life, so I might as well work more!

Other than that....
I went to my friend Alex's Graduation Party, where I ate from a large chocolate fountain ( I wish I was rich enough to own a chocolate fountain!!), and played a game called "Monster Ball", which is a mix between baseball and kickball, where I managed to fall on my butt at least 2 times due to my lack of coordination. :-P
But it was fun..

and I am now also reading Twilight over again for fun.... and it'll be my 3rd time reading it..
*sigh @ my pathetic-ness*
